Excessively Entertaining Children
I don't believe in excessively entertaining children.
It's ok to be bored. In fact, that's when creativity comes alive. My imagination explodes in the silence. So, why do we feel the need to be excessively entertaining children these days?
We're not doing them any favors by eliminating boredom. In fact, we're doing more harm than good.
I teach my children to pursue their interests and follow their curiosity.
It's probably no surprise, but children teach me more in return. Don't get me wrong, there's a time and place to keep children busy doing what they like. But, excessively entertaining children is a recipe for disappointment.

This is a great reminder. As the boys get older I do try to lick them outside. It is fun too watch what games they come up with.
So glad you enjoyed this. It’s not always easy, but they’ll thank us some day 🙂
I love the reminder of allowing kids to be bored, it is amazing to see what they can cook up when they are not being entertained.
They’ll thank us someday. I hope you’re doing well & Happy Holidays!
