I met with this wonderful family on Valentine’s Day to help welcome their new little baby girl to the family. Baby Layne joined Mom (Sam) and Dad (Chris) and big brothers Cleary (who will be 7 this summer) and George (who is 4)—along with fur-brothers Boston Terriers Lloyd and Winston.

I have photographed Sam and Chris’s engagement, their wedding, the boys’ newborn sessions, and various family sessions throughout the years. They are such a fun, loving group, and I always enjoy working with them. This was an extra special session—this will be their last born child and they finally had a daughter (after two boys!). I have a feeling she will be their little princess.

The boys sure have big personalities; they are both so smart and inquisitive. George is a character and has a mind of his own—they say he’s certainly more difficult than Cleary was at this age. I know Layne will hold her own in a few years.

I loved the moment when Sam teared up as she was telling me about how incredibly blessed she and Chris are with all their children. They feel that baby Layne is the perfection completion to their family. I could tell by those few tears that she is blessed beyond words and appreciates it immensely.

Thank you, Sam & Chris, for trusting me with all of these moments. I was so excited to meet Layne, and I can’t wait to watch her grow with all her brothers. 🙂
