Sara and Andy were married on July 16^th, with a ceremony at St. Francis of Assisi in Manitowoc, WI, and a reception at the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI.

These two met during a birthday party on a rooftop in downtown Chicago, and after two years of dating, Sara moved in with Andy in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. After that, the two of them had planned to have a Valentine’s Day celebration on Friday the 13^th rather than on Valentine’s itself, because Andy had to leave that day for work.

They started out downtown at 3 Forks Steakhouse, where they first met, then headed to the Gilt Bar, where they had gone on their first date—a double date with a mutual friend. They headed out to Mercadito after that for dinner, where they had their first date just the two of them, and then got back to their room at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago, where there were dozens of roses and champagne.

Andy had cut out a card with the cartoon “Love Is,” which was a tradition between the two of them. Andy would always cut out those cartoons for her, but this one had a “Love is when he asks you to marry him” cartoon—and she said yes!

The day of the wedding itself was positively brimming with emotion from the very beginning. Sara was absolutely overcome with emotion while getting into her dress—she was so excited and nervous!

I also loved seeing these two walking down the aisle together after they exchanged their vows, and of course, the moment between Sara and her mother was incredibly touching.

Sara & Andy, I am truly blessed to work with beautiful people like you. You came to me as clients and entrusted me with your amazing engagement and wedding. I am honored to now call you friends.
