James Christopher's Greek Orthodox Baptism Celebration
On July 2nd, I was absolutely honored to be part of James Christopher’s Greek Orthodox baptism at the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church. The service was followed by a reception at the Bull at Pinehurst Farms.
This was the most beautiful celebration for this little boy. The entire day was filled with love from their closest family and friends, and you could feel that love fill the church and after at dinner. The church itself is filled with beautiful details, and I truly enjoyed the genuine devotion and passion evident there.
I started just before the baptism began and photographed for the full hour-long ceremony. James was dipped in the water bath 3 times, and the church was just filled with appreciation and affection. After the baptism, we went to The Bull for the cocktail and dinner reception. They also had a dance, but I wasn’t there to witness that equally festive portion of the day.
James’ parents gave each guest a bracelet made with a Greek eye bead. I love mine and have worn it every day since the baptism. I traveled to Greece a few years ago, so it was a wonderful experience to see these traditions happen so close to home.
Nicholas & Corina, I’m humbled and grateful you have chosen Studio L Photography to capture your precious son’s baptism. It was the most beautiful celebration. I wish your family health, love, and happiness.
