Pull Up A Seat

Pull up a seat, we have a lot to talk about.

I've been doing a lot of soul searching over the last two years. When looking back, I see I've made progress. I still have a long way to go, but there's no turning back. I've come too far.

Studio L Photography was founded in 2007, but in reality, it was born in the magic of the darkroom. That's where I discovered the artist in me, amid the developing trays and finished photographs hung to dry. While I’ve spent the last 10 years as a portrait and wedding photographer, I’ve also been simultaneously building a catalogue of almost two decades worth of fine art photography.

After 11 years in business, 2018 is a season of change for Studio L. I’ve realized that there's so much more I’m called to do as an artist. Working with art enthusiasts to bring art into their homes feels like a natural progression towards what I’ve been secretly dreaming of for years.

I invite you in! Take a look around and shop my art gallery here.

There's no dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. There is only the PRESENT. That brings me here to tell my story.  It is my hope that I can inspire you to follow your dreams.  Just a heads up, it takes a lot of hard work and determination.

It seems like I've been searching for my life's purpose for a long time.  For those of you that follow along, may be wondering if the searching will ever end.  The answer is yes, and no.

Life is in the journey.  Looking back, I am not where I thought I would be at the age of 40.  But, I what I know for sure is that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.  Patience and trust win in the end.

There’s no journey worth taking except the journey through one’s self. That’s the most important journey you take. I found that out as I went around the world many times: I was learning about me.

"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." - Ernest Hemingway
"There are no shortcuts to any place worth going." - Beverly Sills
