A year ago, I had the honor of photographing Tyler and Katie’s reception at Red Cabin at Green Acres in Fond du Lac, WI. I had captured Tyler and Katie’s Jamaican destination wedding in January of 2014, and this was their second reception, to which they invited all of their family and friends. Tyler and Katie currently live in Boulder, CO, but will soon be moving back to the area they grew up in, in Wisconsin, so having this event here was important to them.

The day was filled with beautiful weather and a perfect location. Katie and Tyler wanted to spend the majority of this time with family and friends, to have me capture the afternoon/evening just as it was, and to do very few poses. It was nice to be able to capture everything so naturally!

The band, Liquid Courage, kept people dancing. Everyone was having such a fabulous time socializing, eating, drinking, dancing, and celebrating the love that Katie and Tyler share.

You can tell just how important their family and friends are—this day was filled with so much love and laughter. People were smiling everywhere I looked, which made my job so much fun.
