Wisconsin Artists Biennial At MOWA

After a lot of rejections, I notice a subject line in my inbox.

It reads:  Congratulations on behalf of the 2020 Wisconsin Artists Biennial

I’m happy to announce that I’ll have art on exhibit at the Museum Of Wisconsin Art in January 2020.

The Wisconsin Artists Biennial exhibition will take place January 25 - March 29, 2020.  From the 342 applicants, I was one of the 38 finalists.

The jurors chose one piece from my film photography project, Living In The Fog.  The giclée is titled Reflecting.

If I said this process was easy, I’d be lying.

The truth is, creative work is hard.  Just when I seem to get past the resistance, I get rejected AGAIN.  Not this time!

On difficult days, I choose to look at the bright side.  If I wasn’t being rejected, I wouldn’t be trying.  In the end, all the hard work will pay off.  I’m confident about this.

The fog continues to lift, allowing me to create it in a new form.

We could wish the fog away, or we can embrace it.  I challenge you to embrace the fog, which you’re living in.  Step into the unknown and do the thing that your heart is calling you to do.

I dare you!

Hi Laura Hope to see you again sometime. Darn COVID. Can’t wait to see your piece at the BIennial. Guess I might see you there.

Thank you, Jennifer! You’re so sweet. The journey of finding meaningful work is long and hard, but SO worth it. The journey never ends.
